The implementation of a comprehensive information system built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV was successfully completed at NOEN, Inc,. in September 2011. NAVISYS, Ltd., not only deployed an ERP system, but also the BIZ4BuildIn industry solution, which is designed for project-driven companies.

The primary requirement of NOEN, Inc., was an information system that would drive the demanding and long-term projects from the perspective of the process and from the financial point of view. The aim was therefore to implement the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV in order to assure the quality of the processes of management of business transactions through the preparation of orders, calculating bids, capacity planning, vendor management and production schedules all the way to financial management, cash flow management, assessment and records management, as well as complaints.

It was very important to not over-burden employees with the routine of putting data into the system, but yet to have enough information to evaluate resource efficiency and the profitability of contracts. Another criterion was therefore to maintain the integrity of information systems and the sharing of data at one central location. In the past NOEN, Inc., did not utilize an IS, all processes were managed using MS Office applications. In the field of construction and design, specialized systems are used, such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, COSMOS, and others.

Of course, there is also graphical planning and integration with an intranet portal. The solution is comprehensive management and registration of all necessary documents directly in the information system, the advantage is the integration with third-party products, especially Microsoft Office, MS Project or specialized PLM systems or accounting SW.
