Institute of Applied Mechanics and EGP INVEST use Microsoft Dynamics NAV by NAVISYS

Within the frame of developing the information system Microsoft Dynamics NAV in Nuclear Research Institute Řež a.s., the extension to its affiliates was also carried out: namely to Institute of Applied Mechanics Brno, s.r.o. (ÚAM) and to EGP INVEST, s.r.o. The implementation partner was NAVISYS s.r.o.
The implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV in both companies was divided into two stages based on the management requirements. The first stage was carried out in 2009 and it fully covers the area of finances and corporate economics. A part of the stage is also reporting of the work performance on the orders and a simple monitoring of costs and profits on projects. In both companies, the system was launched into operation at the beginning of 2010.
Within the next stage, being prepared now, ÚAM and EGP INVEST will have implemented a BIZ4BuildIn industrial solution by NAVISYS. This solution covers the project controlling and planning as well as planning of human sources, including a detail performance and costs allocation on new projects as well as new options of their evaluation.
About Nuclear Research Institute Řež a.s.
Nuclear Research Institute Řež a.s. (ÚJV) was founded in 1955. In the beginning the Institute was managed by the Government Committee for Science and Research and then assigned to the Czechoslovak Academy of Science. At the time of the ÚJV establishment there were great funds released that enabled the development of research and almost immediate start of projects works followed by a construction of objects and experimental facilities (research reactor, cyclotron etc.) in Řež. The original mission of the Institute was to carry on basic research activities in nuclear physics, radiochemistry and nuclear power, radioisotope production and education of scientists. In 1972, ÚJV was assigned to Czechoslovak Atomy Energy Commission and in 1992 it was privatised in a joint-stock company.
Nowadays, the Institute provides mostly applied research for nuclear energetics both in Czech and abroad – safety assessment, material research and engineering, radiation services and the power sources projecting. Institute also supports the use of radioisotopes in health care (PET centres in Brno and Prague) and provides an independent professional expertise for the State Office of Nuclear Safety.

Institute of Applied Mechanics Brno, s.r.o. has a long tradition in research, development and providing services in evaluating technological devices and projecting steel constructions. It mostly specialises in evaluating rigidity, life and limit states of energetic devices and devices of petrochemical industry. About EGP INVEST, spol. s r.o.
EGP INVEST, spol. s r.o. provides project works and services in capital construction, reconstructions, revitalizations and building upgrades. It is specialised mostly in nuclear and classic energetic and energetic works from renewable resources. It offers its services in other areas as well, e.g. petrochemicals use, industry, water and civil building.
