Managing contracts, cash flow and controlling is ensured for PRODECO by Microsoft Dynamics NAV

The implementation of the comprehensive information system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, was completed for PRODECO, a.s in the beginning of 2011. Within the framework of the project not only a complex information system has been implemented with a branch solution BIZ4BuildIn from Navisys for project managed companies, but Microsoft SharePoint with an active link to an information system has also been implemented.

PRODECO, a.s. is an engineering company specializing in supplies and services for customers primarily in open pit mines and thermal power plants. The requirement for a new information system was to cover the core processes within one information system. The former system simply did not allow obtaining information for the management and evaluation of contracts, incl. direct ties to accounting and cash flow management. Processing documents was laborious and created space for potential errors due to human factors.

The main focus was to cover the entire contract management process – from demand through the calculation of bids to the actual implementation and warranty repairs. An important part of the solution is using the output from the project management for the financial management of the company. Thanks to linking the BIZ4BuildIn solution to standard financial modules NAV, it is possible to generate the overall view of a company‘s cash flow including custom cash flow as well as other financial flows, repeated or one-off payments. The automation of most processes associated with monthly closing operations significantly reduces the overall processing time and reduces the possibility of potential errors due to human factors.

PRODECO now has a robust information system, which is a prerequisite for the company's competitiveness and its future growth. The specialized solution BIZ4BuildIn acts here as an effective tool for managing contracts, which allows project managers and management to review contracts in real time. They can not only monitor timely compliance with the terms of contracts, but also maintain their profitability.
