Hroši NAVISYS Brno are Czech Republic champions

From Friday October 5, 20007 to Sunday October 7, 2007 a tournament of the best Czech teams in the category of pupils was held in Třebíč. The following teams took part: Brno Dragons, Altron Krč, Arrows Ostrava, SK Kotlářka, Katalpa Ostrava, Cannibalas Šumperk, home team of Třebíč Nuclears and Hroši Brno officially supported by NAVISYS.
Two best teams from each basic group qualified for the semi-final. Altron Krč and Brno Dragons qualified from group A, Arrows Ostrava and Hroši Brno from group B. In the semi-final Altron Krč played Hroši and Dragons played Arrows. The former semi-final was a masterpiece of baseball. The match was not decided until the ninth inning (pupils usually play seven innings only) and one hour after the end of the official playing time. Eventually Hippos won 10:8 and made it to the final.
The golden medals were taken by the team of pupils by beating the favourite Dragons in a good quality and attractive final. The game was beautiful, with minimum mistakes on either side. After a great fight the match ended with the final score 4:2, with the title of the Czech Republic Champions in the category of pupils going to Hroši NAVISYS Brno. Description of the game plan: Two basic groups, each team playing all other teams. The two best teams from each group qualify for the semi-final. Semi-final winners play the final game, losers play to win the third place. The teams placed third in the basic groups play to win the fifth place, teams placed fourth play to win the seventh place.
