Navisys organized more logistics workshops

In collaboration with Microsoft and the Association of road transport operators ČESMAD Bohemia, NAVISYS organized logistics workshops titled Tools for Efficient Control, Cost Reduction and Logistics Process Optimization. This workshop was intended for logistics experts, transportation company managers and IT managers. Owing to the vast publicity the workshop was held on two dates. The venues were Voroněž hotel in Brno (4.6.2008) and Microsoft head office (18.6.2008) in Prague.

The opening speech was held by Vojtěch Hromíř, a representative of the association of road transport operators ČESMAD Bohemia, who explained in detail the issue of cost reduction, all logistics companies face. Then the general manager of Navisys, Michal Češek, took the floor to talk about the comprehensive information system of BIZLogistics, which was tailor-developed by NAVISYS in particular for logistics and transportation companies.

Another topic was the use of map sources and optimization algorithms in more efficient planning and evaluation of transports, which was addressed by Miroslav Šmeral, a senior consultant of NAVISYS. This topic was particularly interesting for the participants as the use of new technologies can result in many benefits for the customers. Pavel Šlesinger (Partner Technology Specialist at Microsoft) introduced SharePoint as a tool for efficient document management and workflow and several other innovations. At the close of the workshop Robert Šedivec (Fundraising manager at Microsoft Corporation) presented current possibilities of using EU funds for development of not only logistics companies.

In the end a contest was organized with the main prize of Xbox 360 game console. Congratulations to the winners.

The customers viewed this meeting in a very positive way. It is not only a good opportunity to gather new information but it is also a chance to share experience with other enterprise solution users.
